Measuring An Ecosystem: I'd Like Your Help

Over the past month, we’ve been hard at work developing our survey. Our goal with this phase of the research study is to understand the number of digital media companies in Canada, where they’re located, the size of their labour force, as well as other quantitative and qualitative data.

Casting back to when I embarked on this initiative, I felt that the support of engaged and influential community members was a critical component in ensuring we deliver a set of valuable and actionable deliverables.

With our first survey only 24 days away from release, and in lockstep with our commitment to community engagement and inclusion, we’d like to continue this theme.

While myself and the rest of research team are very confident with our initial offering, we’re looking to hear from other digital media professionals who have expressed an interest in, and a passion for digital media and interactive content.

If you’d like to participate in our feedback loop, I’d love to have your support. To join, simply send me an email (justin {at} 49pixels {dot} ca), and we’ll add your name to the list. When our survey is ready for review, we’ll send you an email with more details along with a link to preview the survey. While you are conducting your review, please keep the following top of mind (we’ll send this list again with the invite):

• Are we asking the right questions?
• Are we asking the questions in the right way?
• Are there any gaps in the possible answers that we haven’t yet identified/added?
• What type of data are you interested in learning more with respect to our industry that hasn’t been added to our survey?

The survey will take less than 15 minutes to navigate through; upon “completing” the survey, please fill out the comment box with your thoughts so that we can implement your feedback.

In return for your assistance, we’ll be providing online mention of your support (along with a link to a URL of your choice) in the announcement blog post.
