UnConversation01: Defining Digital Media – Summary
Posted: June 24th, 2010 | Author: Justin Kozuch | Filed under: Communication | Tags: notes | View CommentsThank you to our sponsors Yahoo! Canada and Rogers for their provisioning of gathering space and WiFi connectivity, our volunteers and participants for providing an exciting start to our research project of Canada’s digital media industry.
On June 21st 2010, digital media industry professionals gathered at Yahoo! Canada headquarters for the first of our working sessions. The purpose of this sessions was to help generate a definition for digital media. Facilitated by Matt Milan, we split 25 people into working groups and gave them 45 minutes to complete the creative assignment.
A note about the process
This event wasn’t styled as typical unconference. Instead, it was styled as a roll up your sleeves, break-out-your-moleskine working session with clear goals and deliverables. We separated attendees into working groups with a common goal: define digital media.
